District 52’s Purpose

I am responsible,
when anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help,
I want the hand of AA always to be there,
and for that I am responsible.

AA District 52 is part of Area 93 and serves the Northern Santa Barbara County communities of Guadalupe, Lompoc, Los Alamos, Los Olivos, Orcutt, Santa Maria, Santa Ynez and Solvang.

We hold regular monthly meetings in an effort to:

  • Carry the A.A. message to the alcoholic who still suffers.
  • Educate our general membership about the Steps, Traditions, and Concepts of A.A.
  • Provide a forum for the exchange of information between our district organization and any other A.A. service groups or committees.
  • To assist the DCM and GSRs in discharging their responsibilities as outlined in the A.A. Service Manual.
  • Form subcommittees as necessary to carry out our purpose and to receive monthly reports.
  • Disburse 7th Tradition funds received from groups as necessary to carry out our purposes on their behalf and be self-supporting.
